Voice of Indonesia external service is off the air

Voice of Indonesia (VOI) external service is off the air last few days. This is because of technical fault in the transmitter. VOI is in search of correct spares from the original equipment manufacturer. But it is not so easy for such old transmitter and expensive too. We hope VOI will be back on the air very shortly.

Update 12.1.2012 - VOI is still off the air. Facing difficulty getting the spares. Talks are on for re-transmission of VOI programme using Babcock systems.

Update 24.1.2012 - VOI is back today with regular programme.

DX listeners all over the world are wondering if you can take parts from the other transmitters to keep this service (9525 kHz) on the air. We really miss it!
